EMADOX® SAc

EMADOX®SAc is a mixture of organic compounds mainly based on amine derivatives set to limit the metals corrosion.

EMADOX®SAc is efficient for:

  • Hydrochloric acid
  • Sulfuric acid

Applications - Dosage

EMADOX®SAc has been designed to limit the ferrous metals attack, particularly ordinary steels, when they are exposed to hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, even at high temperature.

EMADOX®SAc is needed when strong acids are used for:

  • Boilers or water circuits descaling
  • Chemical cleaning by circulation
  • Steels stripping or pickling

EMADOX®SAc can be added to the concentrated acid or to the ready-to-use acid solution.

The use levels are:

  • 0.5 to 1% based on the 30% hydrochloric acid quantity
  • 3 to 5% based on the 96% sulfuric acid quantity

Density: 1.01 at 20°C
Solubility: Water soluble in all proportions

Shelf-life

In the normal conditions of storage for the full packagings, EMADOX®SAc can be kept 5 years.

Comments

EMADOX®SAc helps to the oxides elimination without affecting the underlying metal.

EMADOX®SAc has some high wetting properties which accelerate the acid’s penetration and diffusion in the deposits to be eliminated.

EMADOX®SAc makes the acid attack more homogeneous and reduces the acid’s consumption.

EMADOX®SAc is efficient even at high temperature (100°C).

The EMADOX®SAc protection capacity is not impaired by the formation of ferrous chloride during the descaling operations (when hydrochloric acid is used).
