Our ranges provide highly tested grades, and recent and innovating products formulated to answer specific request or to anticipate future evolutions in the regulations.

AB RUST and EMADOX additives present nevertheless the following common points :

  • Protection of iron, cast iron and ordinary steels
  • Formulations in aqueous phase : Volatile Organic Compound Free (except EMADOX 301), glycol ether free, heavy metal free, APEO free, biocide free.
  • Additives ready to use.
  • Preparations acting by instantaneous formation of an organic protective film on the metallic surface, passivation layer reinforcement, favorable pH maintaining.
  • Available in a large choice of packaging, from 1Kg to 1200Kg (plastic container).

Nota bene : in the continuation, the term "flash-rust" and "V.O.C" will be mentioned on several occasions.

  • Flash-rust : This term is frequently employed in the language of paintings to indicate the very fast appearance (flash) of rust spots on a metal substrate coated with waterbased paints. This phenomenon appears during the application and drying stages. Our additives prevent this oxidation.
  • V.O.C : Volatile Organic Compound : according to the European Directive 2004/42/CE, V.O.C are defined as compounds containing at least the chemical element carbon and one or more of the elements : hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, nitrogen, halogenous (except carbon oxides, inorganic carbonate and hydrogen carbonate) for which the boiling point under the pressure of 101.3 Kpa, is lower than 250°C.
