EMARUST® CL7-W

EMARUST

Liquid corrosion inhibitor, EMARUST®CL7-w concentrates 3 actions in a single additive.

EMARUST®CL7-w provides to the water based formulations:

  • a significant increase in the corrosion resistance, as a supplement to the anticorrosive pigments
  • a protection against the flash-rust

while favouring the dry film’s adhesion on metal.

EMARUST®CL7-w is a ready to use aqueous solution, nitrite free and metal salts free.

Applications - Dosage

EMARUST®CL7-w is designed for the water based formulations devoted to the application on metal substrates, such as :

  • anticorrosive primers
  • Direct To Metal (DTM) paints
  • clear varnishes

Characteristics

Aspect : yellow to amber liquid
Density : 1.00 – 1.10 at 20°C
pH: 9.0 – 10.0 at 20°C

Solubility :

  • partially soluble in water, aqueous solution has a milky aspect
  • soluble in the monopropylene glycol

EMARUST®CL7-w can release an odour specific to its composition, even in the dry film, for a prolonged period of time. From one batch to another, or when ageing, EMARUST®CL7-w colour can become darker. This change does not affect the product’s properties.
